# Experimental Data Entry

### 1. Viewing the Task List

Click Task List in the left navigation panel to open the task list view. By default, all task types are displayed (body weight, behavioral assays, tissue collection, and data upload). The system defaults to showing all task data with Status set to Active, where Active indicates all tasks scheduled for execution on the current date.

The tasks displayed are based on the configuration set up in your study. Typically, the following task types are included:

* Body Weight
* Behavioral Assays
* Tissue Collection
* Data Upload (Rotarod – every Friday)

Click on the desired date to expand all tasks scheduled for that day, including: Weight, Gait, Grip\_Strength, Open Field, Rearing, Tremor, SHIRPA, and more.

Click on any task to navigate to its data entry page.

### 2. Data Entry Types

LabArk supports 3 data recording methods, categorized as follows:

1. Numeric Input
   1. Inline Edit
      1. Weight
      2. bar-crossing
   2. Edit Mode
      1. Rearing
      2. SHIRPA
2. Check list
   1. Rotarod (check when required)
   2. Gait
   3. Open Field
   4. User-Defined Experiments
3. Data Upload
   1. Tremor
   2. Rotarod (uploaded every Friday)

### 3. Numeric Entry – Inline Edit

Weight and bar-crossing use the inline edit method. The following walkthrough uses Weight as an example.

Navigate to Task List / Weight, then click Edit Weight to open the input field.

Fill in the following fields and click Save:

* **Weight (g): body weight value**
* **Actual Date: the actual measurement date**
* **Notes: additional comments (optional)**
* **N/A: check this option if the measurement cannot be performed on the scheduled date**

After saving, the weight values will be displayed in the table, and the Data Gaps counter in the top-right corner will reset to zero, confirming that all data has been recorded.

If no animals can be measured on a given day, click All N/A in the top-right corner to mark all subjects as N/A at once.

### 4. Numeric Entry – Edit Mode

Rearing and SHIRPA use the edit mode for data entry. The following walkthrough uses Rearing as an example.

Navigate to Task List / Rearing, then click Edit in the top-right corner to enter edit mode.

Once in edit mode, enter the corresponding values for each subject.

Enter the appropriate value for each subject. Once verified, click Done in the top-right corner to complete the recording.

Once entered, the recorded data will be displayed in the list.

If the session cannot be performed or is not required, select All N/A.

### 5. Data Upload – Tremor

Tremor and Rotarod (uploaded weekly on Fridays) are data upload tasks. The following walkthrough uses Tremor as an example.

Navigate to Task List / Tremor.

Click the Upload button and select the corresponding .csv or .xlsx file from your computer (maximum file size: 500 KB).

Once uploaded successfully, the filename will appear in the field, with options to Replace or Remove the file.

If the experiment does not need to be performed in the current session, select All N/A.

### 6. Checklist – Gait / Open Field / Rotarod / User-Defined Experiments

Gait, Open Field, Rotarod, and user-defined experiments use the Checklist entry method. The following walkthrough uses Gait as an example.

Check Done for each subject to indicate the experiment has been completed; the system will automatically populate the actual date.

Select N/A to indicate the experiment is not applicable or not required for that session.

If all subjects have completed the experiment on a given day, click All Done in the top-right corner to mark them all at once. If none have been performed, select All N/A.
