# Experiment Setup

### 1. Home

* Dashboard Statistics:
  * Total Mice
  * Mice Recruitment
  * Studies in Progress
  * Overdue Tasks
* Today's Task: Lists all experiments or management tasks scheduled for the current day.

### 2. Drug

Navigate to the left sidebar: Setting → Drug to access the Drug Management page.

#### Add a New Drug

Enter the drug name and click <mark style="color:$success;">**Create**</mark>

Once added, the drug will appear in the list with the status set to **Active**

#### Add a Route of Administration

Switch to the **Administration** tab. The system provides the following default routes of administration:

* Intramuscular (IM) injection
* Intraperitoneal (IP) injection
* Intravenous (IV) injection
* Oral administration via diet
* Oral gavage
* Subcutaneous (SC) injection

To add a new route, click <mark style="color:$success;">**+ Create New Administration and enter the name.**</mark>

#### Add a Dosage Unit

Switch to the Unit tab and click + Create New Unit to add a new dosage unit (e.g., mg/kg/day).

### 3. Genotype

Navigate to the left sidebar: Setting → Genotype

Click + Create New Genotype

### 4. Source

Navigate to the left sidebar: **Setting → Source**

### 5. Background

Navigate to the left sidebar: **Setting → Background**

### 6. Experiments

Enter the genotype name (e.g., HOM) and click Create

* shirpa
* tremor

Every other week: Every other week

### 7. Experiment Date

Navigate to Setting → Experiment Date to view the system's automatically calculated experiment date table based on the animal's date of birth (Born on Day).

Basic Date Settings: Defines the mapping logic from the mouse's date of birth (Born on Day) to the actual experiment date (Experiment Date) (e.g., mice born on Sunday will be tested on Monday).

The system provides the following scheduling frequency options:

* **Every day**: Daily
* **Twice a week: Twice per week**
* **Every other week**: Every Other Week
* **Weekly**: Weekly
* **Monthly**: Monthly

For example, with Twice a Week selected, you can specify the day after birth to schedule the first (Day 1) and second (Day 2) experiment sessions.

### 8. Lab Setting

Navigate to Setting → Lab Setting to view the current list of laboratory personnel, including their Email, full name, Role, and verification status.

To invite a new member, click + Invite Members in the upper right corner:

Enter the recipient's email address and select a role (e.g., Technician), then click Invite to send the invitation

The invitee will receive a verification email – click the link to complete the registration process
